Spring Comes Early at BSR

It might still be frigid and there may be snow on the sidewalk outside, but here in the BSR studios, spring is here. We're just about done with the first week of the spring season, and from what I've heard so far, it's gonna be a good one. Tune in on WELH 88.1FM between 9PM and 3AM, or stream our webcast on bsrlive.com anytime. Check out our website for the schedule, or scroll down to hear more and save a copy of the schedule to your computer to print out.

Between returning favorites and new ideas, there's something for everyone! For seasonally appropriate fare, try out A Veritable Smorgasbord of Scandinavian tunes Saturday at 7pm. Friday night on WELH stays strong, starting with mainstays Joanne's Theory of a Radio Show and Ampersand Theater, followed by the up-and-coming Archaeology of Crates. And you can once again keep your night bouncing with James Alderwood's late night Kitchen, coming on at midnight. Tuesday nights continue to be the place to be for the latest hip-hop hits, mixed live in studio, featuring DJs Tek, Lefty, Therion, and King Ecko.

And the spring marks the rebirth of Off the Beat, our (now biweekly) news show featuring all the news and views from Providence that you may not have heard. Off the Beat shares the 9PM Monday slot with our resident features program, The Radio Show.

Brown Student & Community Radio is an entirely volunteer run station, and is always looking for new members to help us make great radio. Not only is it a fun time, but it's a great experience. If making radio sounds awesome to you, contact us at volunteers@bsrlive.com to get involved!
