Cellar Doves

Cellar Doves combines a post-modern approach to classic dance music with a slight ambience subtracted from providence noise. The end result is silver and phosphorescent blue on flat black with copper overtones reminiscent of an industrial disco ball with an antique timelessness.

Cellar Doves will play from 6:30-7:30pm in Burnside Park.

Diamond Doves

Though Diamond Doves have only a handful of shows under their collective belt, the three core members (Brigham Brough, Wyndham Boylan Garnett and Nick Kinsey) have been playing music for many years. Nick and Wyndham, first met in elementary school, Brigham and Wyndham met in high school and subsequently Nick and Brigham started
playing together while they were students at Brown University. For the last 5 years the three have been recording and touring the world with Elvis Perkins in Dearland.

All multi-instrumenatlists in their own right, the three voices of Diamond Doves are blanketed in a swirl of bombastic bass, swirling horns, thunderous guitars, tribal rhythms and echoes of American folk music. Drawing from influences old and new, and sparked by the spirit of collaboration, the song writing of these three individuals arrive as a wholly original and electrifying sound. A Diamond Doves show always ends up being more than three main members, as they’re typically joined by multiple string, horn and keyboard players, creating an infectious and energetic set that has the audience dancing.
Look forward to seeing them at 8:30 in Burnside Park.

The Devil, My Pocket

The Devil, My Pocket started after the demise of Providence art folk
group Chloma Leider in 2007. In the early winter months of 2008, Katie, a classically trained pianist started writing on the piano in
addition to playing violin. Tim focused on his new found style of
guitar playing. Both of them would eventually share vocal
responsibilities, testing the waters of adding harmony to melody.
Most of the songs were written concerning a tumultuous few years in Tim's life. The band's name is from the first line of an unfinished poem of that era.
A few of Tim's friends took interest in what Katie and he were doing musically and decided to
join. Rich Gaccione who played guitar with popular indie rock band Reggie & the Full Effect now found himself wanting to play drums for a band for the first time. Zak Drummond, guitarist for the recently defunct popular hardcore band Verse, took the lead electric guitarist
role. Sean Carstensen, a recent Providence transplant who's last band was a mid 90's hardcore noise band called Unionsuit, would round things off playing bass.
The full band most recently played a warehouse show in the Olneyville section of Providence with The Shivers, Liz Isenberg, and former Deer Tick member gone solo Andy T. The band is currently putting the final touches on the record and will be playing a handful of shows throughout Providence this summer including the IndieArts Festival in downtown Providence. They will appear on the Main Stage from 12 to 1pm.

KingEvRock of Bodega Girls DJing IndieArts Fest 2010

DJ KingEvRock of the Bodega Girls will accompany the Providence Roller Derby on his trusty turntables. They will appear from 5:30-7pm at the Bank of America Skating Center.

BODEGA GIRLS are a party band.

BODEGA GIRLS: A band of tricksters, hedonists and good-for-nothings whose morals defy even the most perverted of human beings.

BODEGA GIRLS: Only an audience so bloodthirsty and sex starved as they could take pleasure in the world of bra-busting, pants-dropping debauchery they have to offer.

BODEGA GIRLS: A musical troupe performing acts of sexuality and persuasion with their own God-given instruments, turning on the already depraved, as well as the naive.

BODEGA GIRLS: A sick cinematic slew of sweaty skimp and callous kink. An unadulterated penetration into the gaping hole of the sicko’s soul.

BODEGA GIRLS: The human id – illustrated in flesh and guitar strings. Hourglass figures and experienced fingers prance and wriggle their way across the stage, screen and into your psyche. An orgy of sleaze, desire, and rock and roll music – brought to life in bouncy, jiggly technicolor.

BODEGA GIRLS: Hedonistic purveyors of Soul, too well endowed and too world- renowned to be confined to lo rent clubs and white bred soundstages – look for their sonic ebony to explode at a party near you.

BODEGA GIRLS: Dance. Fuck. Sweat. Dance some more. BODEGA GIRLS
