Jingle Belles and a Few Balls:
The Supernatural Holiday Extravaganza

Providence, RI: As 2010 draws to a close, Perishable Theatre’s annual fundraising gala, Jingle Belles and A Few Balls poses the question, “what are the celebratory habits of vampires, zombies, ghosts, and werewolves—err—werereindeer?” Jingle Belles always has the feel of classic burlesque with a holiday twist. This year, performers in the benefit for Perishable Theatre takes this event to new heights combining the holidays with the supernatural. Anticipated highlights include a burlesque send up of Tiny Tim's untimely demise, a bewitched Chanukah Boylesque and the realization that vampires DO show up at Christmas parties in perfectly respectable places. Additional bringers of cheer include Miss Wensday, Rory Raven, and Chifferobe’s Kristin Minsky to name a few.
Jingle Belles and a Few Balls: The Supernatural Holiday Extravaganza offers two Big Santa “gala” performances on December 10th, one at 7pm the other at 9:30pm. Gala night is always a scintillating and risqué night of adventure. After the performances, guests will continue the evening’s unearthly tomfoolery at our third floor haunted lounge with décor by Monster Mini Golf, musical stylings by The Rhode Island Ukulele Armada, holiday edible delights provided by Guy Abelson Catering, cash bar, raffle and so much more! This year, our naughty elf returns with his sack full of goodies ready for your grabbing. Jingle Belles and a Few Balls: The Supernatural Holiday Extravaganza is sure to scare the Scrooge right out of you. Tickets to this fundraiser are $50 and available by calling 401-331-2695 X 103.
Jingle Belles and a Few Balls: The Supernatural Holiday Extravaganza for the “General Elf” population is offered on December 11th at 7pm and 9:30 and December 12th at 7pm. No party offered with these shows. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased through www.arttixri.com

@State Lounge
1 Throop Alley (Behind Olives on North Main)

AFROSONIC JUMP WAS JUST SELECTED AS ONE OF PROVIDENCE MONTHLY's MUST ATTEND EVENTS FOR THE NOVEMBER ISSUE.

The AfroSonic Collective is proud to welcome Critically acclaimed Dj and Producer
Jihad Muhammad

In the last five years, this reigning “prince” of the underground dance music scene, DJ JIHAD MUHAMMAD has captured the souls of the populace. He has secured a loyal following of energetic house music heads and soulful “garage” purists who march to the beat of his drum. A Newark, NJ native, his “ear” for music developed listening to the latest hits his family members would bring home. “They used to play all the new cuts that were out at the time…Then , they showed me how to dance to them”. Everything from Gladys Knight, Minnie Ripperton, Brick, Jean Carn, Patti Labelle and The Jackson Five shared equal billing in Jihad’s household. Also, artists like Elton John, Crosby, Stills and Nash and the Police taught him that “good music is good music” irrespective of the racial makeup of the artist.
